When submitting a file to us. You will need to make sure the file's dimensions are sized to, or in proportion to the print size you're requesting. If you are unsure if your image is in proportion to your desired print, please use our handy Proportion Calculator.

CROPPING

If you order a print size that is not in proportion to your submitted digital file. We will use our best judgement to crop the image to best fit your desired size. If we feel the change is too drastic, or any other problems arise, we will certainly contact you with our concern.

FILE FORMAT & RESOLUTION

We can work from most standard file formats. Many of these include: TIFF, JPEG, PSD (Photoshop), EPS, BMP, GIF, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Illustrator EPS, Targa, etc.

We have a 100% RGB workflow and recommend no less than 100 dpi at the final print size, and no more than 300 dpi at the final dimensions. If you have a layered PSD file, please flatten your image and discard any alpha channels or paths. If your file falls below the suggested 100 dpi, we will contact you if we feel the quality will suffer too much.

COLOR

All of our printer/media combinations are constantly profiled in house, on a regular basis. Your files will print accurately according to the embedded color data within your file. If you are ordering a large quantity of prints, we always advise ordering one print first to make sure your file prints correctly. We only guarantee color accuracy to your original artwork if it was originally captured at Gallery Street. If you are submitting digital photography, we recommend your camera's color space to be set to sRGB.

STRETCHING

All of our stretched canvases are stapled on the back for the best looking finished piece. We offer two different depths of stretcher bars. Standard bars measure .75" deep and are recommended to be used with frames. Heavy Bars measure 1.5" deep and can be hung on walls with or without a frame.

GALLERY WRAP

If you would like the image to wrap around the edges, simply order a print size that is 4" larger in both dimensions than the stretched size (for heavy bars) or 2" larger in both dimensions (for standard bars).
For example, if you would like a 16x20 stretched on heavy bars with the image wrapped around the edges, you would order a 20x24 image.
For standard bars, you would order a print that measure 18x22 stretched on a 16x20.

EMBELLISHMENT

If you plan on painting on, or 'embellishing' your giclée print. It makes no difference if you order glaze or not. Both surfaces can be painted upon. You can use acrylic or oil paints on your giclée prints. Always test your paints on an inconspicuous area.

FINISHING AN EMBELLISHED GICLÉE

You may embellish upon either a glazed or unglazed giclée print. Acrylic or oil paints may be used. We advise always testing your paints on an inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility.

BORDER

All prices on our price list include a 2" white border surrounding the image area. If ordering a heavy stretched piece, we require a 3" border.
